Simcon at InnoTrans 2022

We are pleased to invite you to the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology „InnoTrans 2022“ held on 20.-23. September in Berlin. We are looking forward to meeting you at our Stand Nr. 220, Hall 6.1, where we will present the latest development of our simulation tools and our consulting services for railways and industry.

Eglinton maintenance and storage facility project

During the summer of 2018, we have successfully executed a simulation study of Eglinton maintenance and storage facility for LRV in Toronto (within the frame of Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project). The goal of the study was to verify the feasibility of facility operation on proposed infrastructure, considering multiple timetable variants with different train configurations. Besides maintenance, cleaning and storage capacity of the facility, the simulation model also reflected the constraints of proposed OCS design (restrictions in power supply for electric LRVs). The main evaluation criteria was the timely provision of LRV trains for revenue service after maintenance and cleaning.

Simcon at InnoTrans 2018

We are pleased to invite you to the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology „InnoTrans 2018“ held on 18.-21. September in Berlin. We are looking forward to meeting you at our Stand Nr. 205, Hall 6.1, where we will present the latest development of our simulation tools and our consulting services for railways and industry.

Maintenance centre Paris Pont-Cardinet

In 2017, we have executed a simulation study for the maintenance facility for regional trains at Paris Pont-Cardinet. The goal of the study was to evaluate different infrastructure layouts with the aim to guarantee the execution of light and heavy maintenance of all trains. Within the frame of the study, the capacity of storage sidings to store reserve train units of SNCF Transilien was also under investigation.

Maintenance centre Stuttgart-Untertürkheim

In 2017, we have successfully finished a whole series of simulation studies for Stuttgart railway junction. The main objective of those studies was the verification of operational procedures at maintenance centre Stuttgart-Untertürkheim and at surrounding stations with respect to proposed service concept. Besides modelling of train and shunting movements, service activities, such as heavy and light maintenance, repairs in workshop or train parking by personnel, were modelled as well. Various operational scenarios were carefully evaluated with respect to given criteria: train departure delays and timely execution of all defined service activities.

Simcon at InnoTrans 2016

We are pleased to invite you to the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology „InnoTrans 2016“ held on 20.-23. September in Berlin. We are looking forward to meeting you at our Stand Nr. 121, Hall 6.1, where we will present the latest development of our simulation tools and our consulting services for railways and industry.

Simcon at InnoTrans 2014

We are pleased to invite you to the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology „InnoTrans 2014“ held on 23.-26. September in Berlin. We are looking forward to meeting you at our Stand Nr. 505, Hall 4.1, where we will present the latest development of our simulation tools and our consulting services for railways and industry.

Simulation study of the maintenance centre Tübingen finished

The simulation study of train care center near german town Tübingen has been concluded successfully during the summer of 2013. The main goal of the simulation study was to investigate the new track configuration of the yard and to examine the consequences of increased traffic on the operation of Tübingen railway junction (including passenger station). Inner cleaning, outer cleaning, refueling and depot maintenance processes were all included in the model, as were the train and shunting movements and personnel assignments. Timely train departures and execution of all required operational tasks belonged to the most important criteria for the evaluation of the maintenace centre operation.

Simulation of sidings at coal mine OKD Darkov

The simulation of sidings at the OKD coal mine in Darkov near czech town Ostrava was concluded in June 2012. The study focused on the identification of maximal capacity for loading railcars at the Darkov underground coal mine and preparation plant. The simulation model was not constrained to the Darkov mine sidings only and included several other nearby sidings; the modelling of personnel and shunting equipment operations were an integral part of the study. The simulation model was also utilised to support several strategic decisions regarding the loading, transport and storage of mined coal and stone.

Simcon at InnoTrans 2012

We are pleased to invite you to the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology „InnoTrans 2012“ held on 18.-21. September in Berlin. We are looking forward to meeting you at our Stand Nr. 206, Hall 11.2, where we will present the latest development of our simulation tools and our consulting services for railways and industry.

Prague Masaryk station simulation study finished

The simulation study focused on examination of required number of platform tracks at Prague's Masaryk railway station has been successfully finished in March 2012. With the help of simulation tool Villon, Simcon's experts examined two possible track layouts and evaluated important parameters of station's operation under various conditions (train delays, etc.).

Conclusion of Bratislava Nivy evacuation simulation project

Simcon's first pedestrian movement modelling project was finished with success. The main goal of the project was a verification of passenger's egress routes and an estimation of the evacuation times from the underground railway station Bratislava Nivy in case of a fire. Bratislava Nivy station is a part of the new metro-like route (planned in conjuction with the european TEN-T corridor) that will connect Bratislava city center with Petržalka urban district.
